I am putting together 3 baby bags for new moms in need at our local pregnancy center. It is taking a while to collect all those things that go in one, diapers, a blanket, baby toys, you know the stuff. Our center has an ultrasound machine, so moms often make a successful choice and yet find themselves so frightened about what is next. I will put a book in like "what to expect when you are expecting" and most importantly, a Bible and the words to the song, "Jesus Loves Me" with the gospel message of love.
I remember being so excited to have my little one!
I guess I am frustrated that going to church is a 10% tithe and what, that goes to a building? A paycheck? What good is that when it is just talking about this and doing nothing about it?
The Lord said to give generously, and I think that means way more than 10% for a building that is looking super great - meanwhile - ya know - I read your story about their story and know that I need to do something even when it just a little that takes a while to gather.
Maybe my little something written here will encourage someone else to do what they can too.
And to know that little things are great because of the God we serve. The power isn't in the volume but the Love! And I am on board with that for sure!

Amen Linda! I think the American church has become apathetic to this issue, by Gods grace more people are waking up
