For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him...For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another.

They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.

We Need a Revival

If Jesus is the Lord of all creation and is currently reigning from his throne…what does he command me to do in this lawless, godless nation?

After I was saved 5 years ago, I quickly realized that the American church’s strategy was to:

• Pray in your closet and don’t actually “do” anything else

• Ridicule the old testament

• Let the government do what it wants

• Focus heavily on global missions because Jesus is coming back next Thursday

After years of studying scripture, and being mentored by Godly men, I came to realize that none of these things were biblical.

We need bold Christians to put the gospel into conflict with our culture.

The good news? Jesus is reigning, and he’s commanded us to plunder satan’s kingdom using the word of God.

But if it is by the Spirit of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. Or how can someone enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? Then indeed he may plunder his house.

Matthew 12:28–29

…and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain. And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended.

5 years ago, I was an atheist

My wife finally convinced me to go to church. I figured “why not? I wouldn’t mind a motivational speech”

One service, the pastor told everyone “If you haven’t read the Bible before, we have some here for you”

So I figured hey, why not.

I started reading the gospels. And then I read this:

8 And if your hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life crippled or lame than with two hands or two feet to be thrown into the eternal fire.

Mt 18:8.

In that moment, my entire world turned upside down.

I didn’t know it at the time, but that was the moment God saved me.

2 months later, I got baptized and professed my faith and allegiance to the King of Kings. I now run Repent Labs, teach Sunday school at my church, and also fight abortion locally.
